Bundaberg

Software for the region that feeds the country.

Bundaberg calls itself the food bowl of Australia and backs it up: the country’s biggest sweet potato region, a macadamia powerhouse, cane fields, and food brands — from the rum to the brewed drinks — that made the city’s name national.

Behind every grower, packer and processor is the same quiet problem: orders, traceability, compliance and inventory scattered across paper, spreadsheets and systems that don’t talk. That’s the software I build — from the Gold Coast, with fixed quotes and weekly demos.

From paddock to invoice, one system

Harvest data in a notebook, orders in email, compliance in a filing cabinet, invoices in accounting software — and someone re-typing between all four. Custom software connects the chain so data is entered once and flows to everywhere it belongs.

Built for compliance you can’t skip

Food safety audits, chemical records, export documentation — agribusiness paperwork isn’t optional. Systems that capture it as part of the work, not as a second job, turn audit week from a scramble into a print button.

Remote delivery, without the runaround

Bundaberg is about five hours up the Bruce — I’ll make the drive for a kick-off that warrants it, and run the build the way I do for every client: working software demoed weekly on a private staging link, decisions in hours, fixed price honoured.

Bundaberg industries I build for

Growers & packing sheds

Macadamias, sweet potatoes, avocados, cane — production businesses where margins live in the details. Harvest tracking, grading and inventory, order management and grower payment workflows built around your actual operation.

Food & beverage manufacturing

Bundaberg’s manufacturers ship nationally and export globally. Batch traceability, stock and ingredient management, wholesale order portals and the integrations that connect production to accounting.

Health & aged care

Health is Bundaberg’s largest employer, and it’s growing with the new hospital. For private and allied clinics: booking, recall and referral systems that keep the front desk ahead of the waiting room.

Tourism & the Southern Reef

Lady Musgrave day trips, Mon Repos turtle season, reef island transfers — seasonal, bookings-driven businesses that need availability, payments and manifests handled without a commission platform taking its cut.

What I build for Bundaberg clients

Common questions from Bundaberg

Our operation runs on spreadsheets one person understands. Where would we even start?

That’s the most common starting point there is. We start with a discovery call where you walk me through the operation; I map where the data lives, what breaks when that person is on holiday, and quote the smallest build that fixes the riskiest part first — usually a $3k–$10k first step, not a $60k platform.

Do you build farm software from scratch or use existing agtech?

Whichever serves you. If an existing tool genuinely fits, I’ll say so and wire it into your other systems. Custom wins when your process is your edge — or when the off-the-shelf option wants a per-hectare subscription for features you don’t need.

Start with a thirty-minute call.

No pitch, no jargon — an engineer’s honest read on your problem. If custom software isn’t the answer, you’ll hear that too. Call +61 448 274 028 or email hello@qld.engineering
