Native iOS apps, built in Swift — not wrapped websites
There are two kinds of “iPhone apps”: websites wrapped in an app shell that feel exactly like what they are, and native apps built in Swift that feel like part of the phone. I build the second kind.
Native matters when the app is used in the field: it works offline, uses the camera and GPS properly, stays fast on old devices, and survives the App Store review process because it belongs there.
What I build
Field & operations apps
For teams on site and on the road — inspections, job sheets, photo capture — working with or without reception, syncing when it returns.
Customer-facing apps
Your service in your customer’s pocket, with push notifications, native performance and App Store distribution.
Companion apps
A native front door to a web platform I’ve built (or one you already run) — same data, same accounts, phone-first experience.
App Store shipping
Provisioning, review, release and updates handled end to end — including the parts of App Store review that surprise first-timers.
How iOS projects run
Swift and SwiftUI, tested with XCTest, shipped through Xcode and TestFlight — you and your team use every weekly build on your own phones before the public does. Like every engagement: fixed written quote up front, and the App Store account, code and certificates live in your name.
Fair questions, straight answers
Why native instead of cross-platform?
Cross-platform frameworks trade polish and device integration for covering Android too. If your users are on iPhone — common for field teams standardised on one device — native Swift is faster, more reliable and easier to maintain long-term.
Do I need a web app as well?
Often an app pairs with a web dashboard — staff in the office on the web, team in the field on the app, one shared backend. I build both ends, which keeps the data model coherent.
What about Android?
I focus on iOS because doing one platform excellently beats doing two adequately. If Android is essential from day one, I’ll say so in the discovery call and point you honestly at your options.
